The Gunyah Hotel, The Belmont Hotel and the 16 Foot Sailing Club are all very close by and great places to dine and chill out with your girlfriends.
If you're heading into Newcastle there are some great pubs like The Brewery, The Great Northern Hotel, The Delany, The Beaches, Newcastle Workers Club (open 24 hrs), The Duck's Nuts and MJ Finnegan's Irish Pub.
There is also a great range of fabulous restaurants along Beaumont Street and Darby Streets where alfresco dining is enjoyed by everyone. It's a good idea to make a reservation if you have a large group!
