Bucks Parties and Weekends Away
Here at Blacksmiths Beach House we know how great it can be to have a weekend away and how these rare occasions can contribute to wonderful memories that last a lifetime. It's great to get away with your mates and do some male bonding, away from the kids and 'the missus'.
Staying at a 5-star resort may sound idyllic, until it's discovered that you're a group of guys! You may then either be refused entry or frowned upon by the holidaying couples anticipating quiet, romantic dinners in the restaurant!
Blacksmiths Beach House sleeps up to 24 and is a self catering house which you can book exclusively for your group for the duration of your stay. This allows your group the freedom to enjoy your time together in privacy (NB there are still rules that will apply to make sure that the house is looked after, our neighbours aren't disturbed and the male testosterone doesn't get out of control)
Local pubs and clubs have courtesy picking up and drop off service or head into Newcastle where there are some great all-night entertainment.
Some things to do while you're here:
- Jukebox and karaoke hire
- Lizotte's live band restaurant
- Kayak, skateboard and bike hire
- Jet boat rides and sports boat hire
- Newcastle Jockey Club – Broadmeadow Racers
- Adult entertainment, topless waitresses and more
- Hire a BBQ boat for a couple of hours of fun on the lake

Local entertainment
Live music features every weekend at the award winning Caves Beachside Hotel where accomplished local and international musicians perform.

If you're heading into Newcastle there are some great pubs like The Brewery, The Great Northern Hotel, The Delany, The Beaches, Newcastle Workers Club (open 24 hrs), The Duck's Nuts and MJ Finnegan's Irish Pub.
There are also a great range of restaurants along Beaumont Street and Darby Streets where alfresco dining is enjoyed by everyone. It's a good idea to make a reservation if you have a large group.
